Should you hand out name badges in your benefit auction registration packets?
I love them, but you might think name badges “cheapen” your fundraiser.
Perhaps. Not everyone likes wearing name badges, and the dress codes might make it impossible to wear a badge. And I suppose if your event is filled with celebrities where everyone is expected to know one another, it might be awkward.
(Or is it? Even celebrities goof, like Gwen Stefani confusing Jimmy Fallon for Jimmy Kimmel on his own show, The Tonight Show. Blake Shelton starts to laugh as Fallon attempts to correct her. When she fails to understand her mistake, he graciously brushes it off. “We’ll fix it in post,” he mumbles.)
I like name badges and think they foster interactivity among your guests. Watch the video to learn about other advantages.
What’s your take on them? Love ’em or hate ’em?

Thanks Sherry,
Able to list all the things I can’t come up with off the top of my head when the committee dismisses the idea of name tags in once concise little v-log.
